Social Media Policies and Procedure

As a club in the modern age Pensby Runners use social media for the promotion and smooth running of our affairs. To this end we have appointed a publicity officer (ex officio), Ralph Pawling. Ralph will be putting our club news out on the website, Twitter feed and outward facing Facebook page.
The idea is to publicise the achievements and the spirit of our club. This is not limited to positional placements at races, but will cover the turnout of Pensby Runners at events, as well as other items of interest such Pensby firsts – perhaps a club member running their first 10K or marathon, as an example.
Please help Ralph by sending him items you would like posted. He will stick the occasional reminder on the private Facebook group. Feel free to nominate the achievements of another club member(s) and send him a report on their news / event, and in that instance he will contact them to ensure they are happy for it to be posted. Also, photographs (as long as the subjects are willing!) would be great – they brighten up our feeds.
League organisers – We know that you post to the website already, but if you have pictures / news we could Tweet or post to Facebook, or you would like a race report uploaded, send things to Ralph.

You can contact him at or through Facebook Messenger.

We also, in accordance with England Athletics Guidelines  have developed a club Social Media Policy to ensure that postings are relevant, informative and useful to running a successful club. The policy can be found here Social Media Policy
