This website gives you all the information you may require about Pensby Runners (formerly Pensby Roadrunners). We are based in Wirral, Merseyside UK. It will be of interest to novice runners seeking a good running club with lots of advice and experience. Better runners will enjoy the range of running types which are catered for. Of course the site will be of interest to Pensby Runners, past and present, as they will be able to find up to date information about what’s happening.

Walking Weekend

The weekend is September 12-14th at the Shackleton Expedition Huts on the Brathay estate one mile outside Ambleside. The format of the weekend is as usual with a meal prepared for you after the Saturday activities (high-level and low level walks, shopping, fellrunning whatever). The cost will be approx £35 per person for both nights. There is room for 24 although 18-20 is more workable as couples like a room to themselves. Any less than 18 and the cost rises. It would be nice to see some of our newer members coming along as well as the 'regulars'. Marathon Des Sables

Congratulations and much respect to Nigel Crompton for completing his second MDS. This seven day event covers 150 miles of Sahara Desert with runners fending for themselves. Click here to view photos taken during the race.  It is likely that Nigel will host an illustrated talk about his experiences soon.
