From March 2016 the way you pay your membership fees will be changing. We are moving to an online payment system, which will make it easier for you to pay, and for us to manage the administration of an ever expanding club. The new system will be easy to use – you will create a membership profile for yourself, where you will record your details (name, DOB, contact details etc.) and the type of membership you wish to have – associate (£35) or full (£105). Following th…is, payment can be made by debit card or PayPal. You will be able to access your profile at any time, should you need to update your contact details. We will use the details on your profile to keep your England Athletics (EA) profile up-to-date, to make sure any communication from EA, including your membership card, reaches you.
One important point to note is that we are changing the date that your annual membership fees are due; they will be due by the 1st of March, to ensure that we can pay your annual EA membership fee on-time (EA memberships expire on the 1st of April each year). We will not be asking you for a payment in September, to cover September 2015 – March 2016. Instead, we have decided to use some of the excess funds that the club holds to give all members (whose subscriptions are up-to-date at the time this communication is sent) a 5-month payment holiday. Whilst we try to pass on the benefits of club profits to members when we can (through training courses, subsidising race fees etc.), it’s rare that we get the opportunity to ensure that all members benefit from any excess funds we have.
We recognise that this is a big change for the club, that’s why we are giving everyone as much notice as we can. Once the system is online, we will invite you to start using the system, and we will make sure that we are available to help anyone who is unsure how to use it.
