We have been contacted by the Department of Physical Education and Sport, University of Seville (Spain).
In collaboration with other European Universities and LGBT Associations, the Department is carrying out a study of attitudes towards sexual diversity in sport. In this study, sportspeople and sports fans of different disciplines are invited to complete a short questionnaire. The objective is to measure such attitudes at all levels of sport in various European countries, from the most local categories to the top levels of competition.
The study is open to the participation of any sportspeople or sports fans that want to join. Results of the study will be used to draw a map of attitudes surrounding sexual diversity in European sport, among male and female players and fans, and will allow the researchers to make comparisons among countries and cultures. The conclusions of the study will allow international authorities and sports institutions to know the real situation regarding attitudes towards sexual minorities around European sport. As a sports club based in the UK, we would be very interested in receiving responses from you and your sportspeople as representatives of your country.
All people over the age of 16 are invited to participate in this study. The online survey is accessible via the link below, and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete:
Please don’t hesitate to email the primary researcher if you have any questions: Joaquin Piedra, firstname.lastname@example.org. Many thanks for considering our request!
